MARKETING - AMERICAN LIFE SALES VIDEO
American Life, part of global financial giant AIG, have recently
taken delivery of a new 6 minute sales video. Their Marketing Manager,
Paul Whymark, takes up the story:
"We felt we needed something extra to help our rapidly expanding
salesforce, as well as highlight the need for our products to our
potential customers.
Rossiter & Co recommended we look at using drama for the video,
which we thought was very suitable as it's for showing to customers
in their homes, where we have to compete with the TV.
The programme was delivered on the agreed date, which was important
as we'd scheduled a number of events around it. Feedback so far
is very good, especially from new sales staff who find it helps
build their confidence."

H&S - SOLVING STRESS IS SIMPLE
British Glass, the body representing the UK Glass Industry, wanted
to produce a Stress Management package for their members.
It was felt that a video accompanied by set of 3 workbooks and
questionnaires, all packaged in a single attractive binder was
the best route forward. An interactive online website was also
produced.
Our new Print & Design arm, ably led by designer Bruce Bowden,
was responsible for the printed package, while producer Kevin Rossiter
led the video production team.
Depicting typical stress situations in the workplace was done
by using a series of dramatic scenarios, based around an extra
order received by a fictitious company, and the stress it placed
them under, and the knock-on effects this then had.
The whole package is branded Solving Stress is Simple.

WORKFORCE WELLBEING - THE ABBEY
New customer the Abbey (late Abbey National) saw our free Employee
Wellness website www.employeewellnessprogram.org and decided they
liked it so much they wanted their own customised version of it
for their UK workforce.
The work is currently being carried out by our web developer and
chess champion, Paul Stanley. It is expected to be online mid February.
STUDIO UPGRADES - BETTER COMPOSITING
Compositing, or the multilayering of video images, is a highly
skilled job which requires the finest tools. You'll all know from
the latest Hollywood epics that the best multi-layering never looks
multi-layered!
Editor & compositor, Matt Richardson, takes up the story:
"The new Extended Keyer is terrific. I can take an image,
such as a presenter talking to camera shot against a green screen,
and dub her onto live video with a far cleaner key than has been
possible so far.
The new Motion Tracker is useful too. For instance, if a customer
needs a sign on the front of a building changing on a moving camera
shot, I can now do this in half an hour where a couple of years
ago it might have taken days."
